Steroid (sometimes called corticosteroid) injections can be a quick and effective treatment for conditions affecting both the upper and lower limbs such as soft tissue conditions eg; some tendinopathies and bursitis, joint pain and inflammation in both young and older patients.

 

Steroid injections can only be given by trained healthcare professionals and here at Grantham Physiotherapy Practice, we are lucky to have Jim Blacknall, a chartered physiotherapist who has over 25 years of experience as a clinician working alongside NHS consultants as well as within the private sector.

NB: Please note that spinal injections are not included in this service.

Jim's wealth of knowledge and qualifications mean that no GP or consultant referral is required to access this service. A separate assessment may be required initially to gauge if the condition and patient are suitable for an injection. ​
