Lindsay trained at the Karuna Institute in Devon, graduating with an MA in Core Process Psychotherapy (CPP) from Middlesex University. CPP combines mindful awareness with western models of development and neuroscience.
A BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) Registered Practitioner, Lindsay began practicing in north London where she saw clients privately as well as working as a volunteer counsellor for two London charities, Mind in Camden and Barnet Community Counselling.
Prior to her psychotherapy training Lindsay worked in a variety of educational, business and charitable settings, mostly connected with healthcare. Living for several years in New Zealand she became interested in Buddhism, becoming a Buddhist nun in 2004 and returning to secular life almost three years later. Having returned to the UK, and following a brief spell in London, Lindsay returned to Nottingham in 2014, establishing a private practice, Clear Mind Psychotherapy, in central Nottingham. In 2015 she expanded to Lincolnshire and began offering her services from Grantham Physiotherapy Practice.
Lindsay continues to engage with Buddhism through reading and a regular meditation practice and has attended a number of retreats. Having attempted to learn (and given up) playing the cello, Lindsay found the experience vastly increased her appreciation of listening to others who are more skilled! She is also a regular theatre goer, and enjoys dance in its many forms, with flamenco and both traditional and modern ballet being particular favourites.
